They build a giant library barely a mile away 10 years ago (Carver). No one uses that either.

The Carver branch looks really good. The new Goodwood branch came out well.

All are much nicer and larger than they had to be IMO.

It’s for the homeless to watch porn. They only need parking for their shopping carts.

That nice architecture ended up costing us taxpayers millions extra. What a goat frick.

That fancy architecture had some structural flaws. I wonder how much the taxpayers spent to correct it while it sat for months being shored up.

It’s NOLA, so they mis-spelled “libary”.

And that’s a great location for the homeless to stay dry.

You don't think some buildings look better than others?

Not usually a big fan of modern architecture, but beyond the blatant stupidity of a cantilever design for holding up massive stacks of books, aesthetically, it’s not terrible. Its decent looking, and much better than the brutalist monstrosity behind it. In a way, it actually helps to serve as an architectural bridge between the semi modern court house, the brutalist city hall, and the ultra-modern shaw center.

I know EBR wastes all kinds of money, but I wouldn't be that upset if they knocked that thing down and replaced it with a new structure somewhere else.

That ugly old building sits on decent real estate that would be better used for an expanded River Center, which would actually help bring more visitors to the area.

I’m not sure I’ve ever been attracted to a building. Is that your fetish?

That actually a modernist style. Very cheap and about 60-70 years old. Is that New Orleans east?
