yeah, that's called alcoholism

I use "Rain Free" to go to sleep.. basically just a white noise rain and the standard alarm with "Old Phone" ringtone set for weekday mornings.

Seriously, I have the worst insomnia and have tried everything to remedy it. If I drink myself to sleep, I'll maybe get 5-6 hours of sleep and wake up refreshed and I'll be able to get shite done during the day.
No doubt, alcohol is the most natural sleep aid there is. And besides most non-alcoholic sleep aids do nothing to stop the shakes that we all get when we try to sleep.

Well obviously you have to medicate before you drive, can't drive while you're shaking like a leaf. It would be unsafe.

it's an alarm wakes you up in a certain time frame based on which stage of sleep you are in
I sleep right through ascending alarms. I have a clock radio set and then my phone alarm set for 3 minutes after that, but I usually wake up before my alarm anyway

I have an alarm that starts to gently wake you up a half hour before your wake up time. It starts off with a dim light that also heats up scented beads. Then 15 minutes before its time to wake up, the light gets brighter and starts playing a background sound. An alarm will go off if you make it to your wakeup time.
I almost never make it to the 15 minute mark, and I wake up feeling great.
I've also got the Microsoft Band, and I started setting my wakeup time around the time my Band says I'm typically in light sleep mode.

I started using Sleep Cycle a few weeks ago. It's cool seeing the graphs, but I usually still feel like shite when it first goes off. It may also pick up my wife's movements too, so not sure if that matters.
How do you make the alarm slowly ascend? Mine is a bit jarring and may contribute to why I don't get up. It's better than normal alarm, but still comes on too fast.
I wish it could sync with my Fitbit. And Fitbit doesn't have a sleep cycle alarm, just tracking and a normal alarm.

So what would you prescribe? 6-7 beers before running errands? Obviously 4-5 glasses of wine

They sell alarms on amazon like I described that start to wake you up gently for a half hour before an alarm actually goes off.
I wish the Band had a setting where I could say wake me up at the best point in this time range.

White Noise Ambience app. Put phone on docking station, turn on the floor fan simulator to max volume and go to sleep. I can't sleep without noise, and I don't want a breeze blowing in my bedroom in winter.
Use it every single night. Love it.

That's all I usually get. Last night was just over 4.

How do you know you don't move when you sleep?

I also set a real alarm at my no shite time.
