No you fricking idiot. Go talk to your neighbor if you miss it so much.

Well, considering that I am 6 hours from home and eating wings for supper tonight on business, I can slightly understand what you are saying!
I missed business travel during Covid, but now I am not sure why I missed it. I just have to knock out a 6-7 hour drive tomorrow and I’ll be done for the week, though.

I enjoyed that first month. I literally wasn't leaving the house for couple weeks at a time. It was great. I had fun just spending time with my wife doing whatever.
But eventually it got old and I wanted to see people and do things. Once I started leaving the house, it sucked most businesses being closed, having to stand in line outside just to go inside grocery store, not being able to go to a bar or restaurant, etc.
I will also say this, Covid changed my life. It made me realize how much I enjoy remote work. In fact I plan on making a career shift sometime this year just so I can go to remote work permanently. I would have never had that idea if it wasn't for quarantine.

I never missed a day in the office due to COVID. I did not quarantine at all, so I can't miss it.
The problems that this caused (and I am just talking about the huge backlogs in the court system) will take years to get back on track.
From what I can see the quarantine was one of the stupidest things our government has ever imposed on its citizens.

We’d have weekend bonfires with neighbors and it made people actually talk to each other.
Nothing is stopping you from doing that shite now except your own laziness and lack of initiative. If you really wanted to do it, you’d f king do it. Go build the bonfire. Invite your neighbors over for a drink. You don’t
Need a quarantine for that. And we certainly shouldn’t romanticize the single greatest assault on people’s health and financial well-being in an effort to pretend fellowship with our neighbors mattered. Truth be told, you were probably so bored you were forced to go spend time with and visit with your neighbors. It’s disgustingly disingenuous.

We are still having supply issues years later. Maybe I was naive about how fragile that stuff all was but I waited over a year for equipment in some cases at work, even still to this day.

I’m with you OP. Summer of ‘20 was awesome. Everyone was enjoying the outdoors. We took more vacations that year than the previous 2 (thanks Zoom/Teams).
Other Covid positives include curbside pickup at basically every store/restaurant, still going on thankfully today.

that spring was the most beautiful weather I can remember
I spent work days out on the deck with the flowers, hummingbirds and squirrels
the stock market was in rocket mode
i didn’t have to see anyone I didn’t want to...built in excuse
it was pretty good living

How many ways are there to say "frick no"?

How is everyone downvoting you? Absolutely miss it! Grilled every day, rode bikes with the family, stayed up and watched movies with the kids, etc. Absolutely was awesome.
The first month was great. Extremely cool spring for the south, working from home freed up a bunch of time, kids riding their bikes in the driveway till dark, slower pace of life, doing zoom game nights with out of town friends. I’m not saying I want to go back to it, but I’ll look back on April 2020 fondly (though there’s some guilt, as many people were having a rough go of it)
COVID also was not full blown politicized yet (though the conspiracy folks here will not agree). There was a brief feeling of everybody needing to pull together/being in it together, at least locally.

frick no, and I hope nothing remotely like that ever happens again.

All I miss is the less traffic before people caught on.

It was nice to be able to work remotely and exceed sales expectations. It showed how wasteful time could be and how productive we could be. However, not everyone had the advantages we had. I believe it could have been a evolutionary learning experience, but simpletons have turned it into a politicized event and we have learned nothing except how to bitch.

You still do those last few things.

My job didn't/couldn't do zoom or work from home. I absolutely miss it. No lines anywhere. The roads were glorious- I'll especially remember that part fondly for the rest of my life.
To clarify- it wasn't all great. I sorely missed live music, going to sporting events, theme parks, etc.

You’re the problem. I’m a hermit and I hated that shite.
