I don't listen to anything specifically, I hit scan and let it ride out. I scanned for nearly all of my 4 hour drive today. Passengers reallllly don't like it, but my truck my rules

Just rip a bunch of Florida Georgia Line CDs onto your cloud. Country on the boombox, candles on the toolbox.

Today’s country music isn’t real country music. Real country music stopped when Taylor Swift got into country music.

Today’s country music is written as a soundtrack for a video. It sucks. I wanna hear some Jones.

The FM band needs more political talk radio.

Yes, a country station in Mississippi is always fricking up Nola ESPN station here in Covington.

You do realize that Nola ESPN station is actually several miles southwest the city.

I remember back when it was a rock station and one of the ids was “broadcasting between 2 cow pastures. Z100 Larose.” It was on a shorter stick right by the studio in Larose and barely made it into New Orleans metro. In the early 2000s, it moved to a taller tower behind Popeyes in Cut Off which once housed 94.3 FM licensed to Galliano before it was sold and moved closer to New Orleans for TIX FM in the 90’s.

OP is right, but 98.1 is a Baton Rouge station with the same eagles and Izzy songs on repeat. NLA has a classic rock station in 105.3, and Monroe has a rock 106.1 with some actual new songs, too. And Shreveport has 98 something? Been years but last I checked, that plays some heavier stuff which is so refreshing.

So actually, I feel there’s more variety up here now that I think about it.

There are no "country" stations in NLA. 92.3 used to play real country, but they are just like 104.1 and 107.5 with that bro bullshite.

I used the Tune In radio app in my truck the other day listening to a country station in the Ukraine. It was more country than the crap on the radio now.

Mainstream country is 100% made for the least common denominator neckbeard, trashy, Michelob ultra drinking, tatted up, store bought torn and faded blue jeans, bayou country superfest parking lot fighters, listening to half rap and half whatever the frick is on the country stations nowadays mother frickers in the country.

It's a fricking disgrace, get Sirius/XM and turn it to Outlaw Country and don't look back. Sure Mojo Nixon is a fricking arse clown and Elizabeth Cook's voice makes me want to rip my ears off my head but the music is pretty damn good. And if you don't like a certain song you can change it to Willie's Roadhouse or Prime Country, problem solved.

98.1 and 98.9

Although, 98.1 plays strictly classic rock, 60's-90's now. 98.9 plays pretty much everything after that, 2000's-today with some classic rock sprinkled in there as well, but it's typically bands like Motley Crue and those types.
