In IT it is helpful to know what type of specialist you are dealing with, so I appreciate some of those credentials like CCNA, CCNP Voice, Red Hat Blah blah.
I'm in IT, but I don't usually volunteer them unless I get asked. I think the only place I may have them is LinkedIn.

Adding your certs in IT looks even worse than the mba stuff.
Your job title implies what you are certified in or have experience with, and people can tell if you know your shite within 15 minutes of discussing an issue
Speaking stricly in regards to internal emails

We had a manager that made everyone with an email account to have their signature set up like this;
name

division
unit
email link
office number

LinkedIn is the one place where you want to have MBA in your name. It's a career networking website

Never known anyone with an MBA, but I knew a guy that would put "CWB" behind his...Certified Wildlife Biologist.
The guy got the weakass certification from The Wildlife Society, and was very proud of it. It means nothing in the field of wildlife biology, because no one requires it for a position.

What business is that of yours, Tex?

I would call it appropriate if it’s an MD or JD or PE who also got their MBA, and is working in administration or something, to differentiate their skill set. A random MBA with no other professional degree would be kind of douchey.

No wonder you don't know anyone with 100k in the bank either.

Nurses also like to put their initials and then "RN" on their license plates. Sad.
That is how you tell who the idiot nurses are. You make yourself a huge target announcing you are in the medical field on your car like that.
Any nurse with an ounce of common sense doesn't do that fwiw.

In our workplace (NASA) PEs don't matter. So to see PE after someone's name is just weird, because having a PE in the government sector aerospace not tied to safety doesn't really matter and that's pretty much the industry standard...but my lead has to put it on his email like he's something. I chuckle every time I see it, because I know his signature on certain things means less than mine because of the years of expertise I have in my area vs his years in my area.

There was a PA in Charlotte who got popped for a DUI. The fact that he had “Dr Wes” as his personalized license plate did not make a good impression on the medical board.
