Maybe I'm too picky, but it seems the tie market isn't so much geared toward traditional businessmen as it is to Livingston Parish Work Release job interviews.

All I'm asking for is something unique and simple, but not hideous.

I use Thomas Pink. Granted, I have the benefit of being able to visit their stores in Tysons and DC.

They are appropriate for any boardroom and are priced accordingly.

Not sure what this means.... I mean are you shopping for ties at Express or WalMart?
Plenty of places have quality material ties in many different colors.

Dillard’s

They have a very decent selection of extra-long ties... I prefer to pick them out in person, so it’s really convenient for returns if the person wearing them doesn’t like my selection.

I buy all of my ties on eBay. Versace, Leonard, any brand you want, almost always much cheaper than what you’d pay retail.

Depends where you shop. Unfortunately, you're not going to find something at Stage that's appropriate for anything other than an 8th grade mixer.

Go to a site like Gilt.com or HauteLook.com (nordstrom's version of gilt).

You're welcome.
