I had to stop drinking for a month in 2010 due to a medical misdiagnosis. It's tough not to drink especially in Nola.

If weight loss is your doctors main concern, find Foods with a total of 1500 calories a day that you can live with. Be vigilant and don’t cheat too much.

If you’re not already exercising, walk until your legs hurt. Do the same thing at least 5 to 6 times for a week and try to go a little farther each day. For at least 30 minutes per day consecutively. As soon as it gets easier, insert either super fast walking or jogging and try to increase your routine to 45 minutes of exercise.

For abdominal and upper body, there are 1 million Youtubers that will help you work out anywhere from 10 to 15 minutes at a time. If you can do two of those per day, 4 to 5 times per week, within six months you will have lost probably 30 pounds or more.

Your vitals will really begin to shape up if you follow the plan and stick to it. And maybe your doctor will tell you to go have a celebratory drink or 12.

I stopped drinking 7 months ago. First month sucked and I had a sugar addiction for a while. Now not drinking is no big deal, but I've gained a few lbs, and I deal with anxiety and all the awesome physical crap that comes with it. Quitting drinking was tough but losing weight is a real fight.

Cut the booze and shed the weight. Get healthy and if you can do it without losing control, incorporating a moderate amount of booze back into your life probably won't be an issue, unless your issues are severe.

Commit hard to zero for as long as you can. If you drink enough that it affects your health, abstaining will yield pretty quick results on the health side.

No doctor will tell you to lay off the weed, it’s only our employers and the federal government that say that. You should try that.

OP I was what the AA people called an " episodic abuser" starting at age 15 and continuing until age 65.

One day I came to the realization that I was missing out on alot of life because I was experiencing it in an impaired state.

Life is short, so I quit. My friends and family were shocked and skeptical that I could renounce this habit that was a large piece of my social life.

It has been over 5 years now and it really has not been difficult. The hardest part was learning to eat boiled seafood without beer!

You can do it, just move forward without our old friend Ethyl. No big deal if you don`t make it a big deal.

God bless you and good luck!

its not too hard. just put it in your mind that you cant, you absolutely cant.

over time you come to realize most experiences are just as good if not better without the influence of alcohol.

Alcohol is top three risk factor for a stroke. Def related to heart disease, which covers a spectrum of heart disorders. Alcohol also causes cancers. This truthful post will be downvoted.
