Sounds like your mom thinks you're an annoying son of a bitch too.

She didn't forget shite

Darth, you died once as well huh?

According to what the doctors it’s told me, briefly I did. It’s been debated here enough and I honestly don’t remember anything about it.

My wife was there and saw the whole thing until they rushed her out of the room when I coded. She doesn’t like to talk about though so I’ve not asked her too much about it.

I think I’d want to forget the day I brought you into this world too, if I were her.

Well mine are too but they were hiding their own Easter eggs many years before they croaked and forgot my birthday long ago.

But the upshot is I’m following in their footsteps and pretty much have to be reminded of my own birthday myself.

So I’ve got that going for me.

someone I know, who are in their mid 30s were talking about how he will used the money his parents give him for his birthday to go towards a new motor for his boat.

And? WTF does it matter what his parents give him? It’s their choice. My mom remembers my birthday every year and I’m 51. And she sends me a check. BFD. It’s easier to just give me the money to get what I want than for an 81 YO woman to go get a gift. And I don’t ask for or expect a gift. It’s just what she does.

You must suck bigly for your own mother to not acknowledge your birthday. But we all figured as much already

Seriously, what problems are you dealing with? People who always come at me about my legs, me not walking, etc, who are people I don't interact with on a regular basis, usually does it because it to make them feel better about themselves.

What addiction are you dealing with? Or is it relationship problems? That's the most common problems. Or are you one of those who does it for acceptance?

My grandmother, who was in the early stages of Alzheimer’s, called me at 5am on my birthday one year and wished me happy birthday and I was pretty shocked she remembered. Then she asked me if I felt 35 and I just laughed and said no and we chit chatted and hung up.

My wife asked me who that calling to wish me Happy Birthday and I told her grandma and that I was so glad she remembered even though she did get the year wrong because I was only turning 34. That’s when my wife crushed me and said “uhhh you are 35 today.”

Somehow I lost a whole year of my life. Talk about a sad birthday.
