Went to the store today to buy one today and I noticed how expensive they are. I was a five star notebook kid growing up, and now they are like $7 a pop. Do your kids just use apps and ipads to take notes?

Yes, my kid is a Junior and he likes the composition notebooks, smaller and they fit in his backpack well, they don't get hung up on the wire spiral binding and they're only $1.00 at Walmart.

Engineering pads for me. I do miss using a Franklin Covey planner.

Just like college education with a decent livable wage post graduation. The good ole days.

They're still that much if you buy the cheap ones during back to school sales. My wife made me do that with the my daughters this year. It was a nightmare but we saved money buying the stuff I did vs. the stuff my wife would have.

I always just bummed a couple of sheets of paper for each class and kept all my notes for each class folded in my pockets

I taught a job related class the other day and told all them employees "bring something to write on and a pen."

They looked at me like a dog looking at a wristwatch.

Apparently laptops and Ipads = note taking these days. I am not that damn old!

We had shitty dollar general notebooks in our household. The paper in them was basically sandpaper
