As others have pointed out, even a slow pace would have still been analogous to a significant breeze thus allowing you to feel cooler.
Looks like most here think you're wrong on this.
Better luck next time.

I actually agree with you. I workout daily with weights outside. I told my wife right when I came inside how it was really hot, but I could actually breathe today. Recently, it rains around 1-4 then is a complete swamp when I am outside at 6. I feel like I cant breathe. The air felt a little better today, although it was still really humid and very hot.

The highest ground temperature ever recorded was 201 degrees Fahrenheit. The ground temperature is the actual temperature of the soil. The highest reliable air temperature ever recorded is 129.2 degrees Fahrenheit. Both Temps occurred in Death Valley.
The more you know.

Heat index is kinda BS, but 100 in say Utah does not equal 100 in LA. Your sweat actually evaporates there.
BTW... it's been probably the coolest summer I can ever remember this year. Probably because it rains every gotdamn day.

Buddy sent me a screen shot from Dubai where it said the windchill was 125. Air temp was 104.
