Baton Rouge was never under serious threat of major protests or riots. This website is the only place I've actually seen people worried about such danger. It's pretty amazing that for so many posters "knowing" local police, that nothing has happened and likely won't happen. People claiming the national guard being flown in and hotels full of out of state police make me laugh
But we got all these guns......

Starbucks is terrified. Protestors love to torch Starbucks these days.

Just put a few lawn mowers, rakes, blowers, and trimmers infront of places you don't want people to protest infront of. Put a sign hanging from the mower saying grass cutting technician wanted.

What's wrong with any major protest? As long as they are proper and peaceful???
I see not a thing wrong and actually welcome maybe some 'major' protest that starts much needed dialogue with the entire community. From the police tactics, to St George getting an isd if possible, to race relations, to judges letting criminals walk the street, to vetting at city hall....
Numerous things dialogue in the city could use.

Well, not saying it would accomplish anything, but would be better than nothing...
And as long as no looting or anything and it's alll peaceful, it's. A win

The Federal Courthouse looks like a fortress. Double wall of barricades.

No, it's not a win. It's a waste of time. It's not the 60s,we've come a long way since then.

Hey man
I'm
Just saying if they protest, it's all peaceful and the people protesting gether the knowledge through dialogue to satisfy their grievance
Don't know what kinda issue you'd have with that

Nothing is satisfied, nothing is changed. I'm guessing you might get some sort of juiced up feeling if you are a college kid who feels like an expert since you made a B in sociology 101. Other than that, it is a total waste of time. No protest is going to change what happened to Alton Sterling. Alton Sterling was the only person who had the ability to change the outcome.

The only logical protest against police for Alton Sterling is how long it took to take out this career criminal pos.
There are times police do shite they deserve to get called out on. This guy ain't one of them. Pick your battles. Don't protest for the sake of protest. It ain't a black white thing either. White SJW who protest for everything under the sun get called out as much if not more daily on this board

Their idea of a dialogue is "Shut up, honkey, and that's how it's gon be."

How is the better half of the city going to react when the riots start?

At least 40% of this board is practically begging for riots and mass civil unrest.

We definitely won't see them today. #DryLivesMatter

I don't think we will have any riots or looting. I think the protests will be large but not violent.
