Dang man, I'm 5'9" 210. I'm 'skinny' at 190. About 13% bf right now according to caliper measurements. Gained 20 during winter, but bulking season! >50g carbs a day for a while now

IN regards to supplements :
Get bronkaid (ephedrine), stay awake (caffeine), and a good fish oil to stack.... You're welcome because it's cheap as hell and works better than any hydroxycut type of crap.

I put it in my terms and 190 is very lean for me. (32x30s seems pretty slim to me)

I was 8.4%bf at 191 at the end of October...but I guess since you're not in that kind of shape nobody can be right? Seems legit.

I'm 5-11" and at 175 I'm still a little pudgy. Body fat certainly isn't in the single digits. You'd have to be pretty damned ripped to be at 190 and in 32" pants. I'm in 36" if I'm at that weight.

No, that sounds like an excuse. The underlying cause is a lack of motivation, which is fine. But don't blame gaining weight on it being too cold or too dark, that is a cop out.

He's not wrong. I used to be 337 pounds and I would blame everyone and everything for my weight besides me. I don't have some super metabolism either despite being in my mid twenties. I learned I'm in control of my weight and body.

Too cold? It's gotten below 40 like twice this winter. If it's really that big of a deal, go on YouTube and look up a P90x video to get you through or just do push ups.

When you finally stop making excuses, you realize how faster the work gets done. That was 2 years ago and now I'm weighing in at 228 pounds.

Fall/Winter can be a gauntlet of binge eating and drinking, if you let it.

First off, let's be honest. Drinking beverage alcohol of any kind, even with "lite" on the label adds empty calories, which can add to inevitable weight gain. Drinking a lot only increases your calorie intake a lot. Keep this in mind.

Then there is the big 3. Halloween candy, parties, eats. Thanksgiving - amazingly delicious and FATTENING fare, plus the license to pig out. Christmas/New Years - parties, pigging, eating, drinking much of which is far more calorie rich than typical - including cookies and egg nog or hot chocolate. Guaranteed to fatten.

Factor in age, winter weather and eating out regularly (anyway), and you have the perfect storm for weight gain every year, regardless of age or metabolism type.

It's portion control, regular exercise (even daily walking), and improving what is eaten that has been helping me.

A good friend told me, "I'm learning to love the food that loves me." At first I thought he was a little bit full of bull. But I'm realizing that is half the battle for me. And I'm discovering it isn't rocket science or a hopeless cause.

Since March 2, 2015 I've lost 38 lbs. and kept it off. My gut is almost gone, I'm down a size or two in pants and shirts, my blood work is out of the diabetes zone (no meds), I generally feel better about myself. I'm weighing in and maintaining 160-165 range, which was my goal. That's where I was as a HS senior (short and never skinny). I'll be 67 in March.

Yea the waist is actually the easy part, the thigh is another story. And tbh I have a smaller waist for my size, if that makes sense. To give you an idea, if you seen me in 32s you would guess they were 34-36s.

No. It's pretty simple. You just don't take in more calories than you burn.

i allow myself to gain about 30lbs. Then drop it from january to June. Maintain till september or so and do it again.

gives me different goals during the year which helps.
