I do not. And probably never will.

No, but I am considering moving back there.

Yeah, my ex wife even wants to move back, she's a pediatric nurse. Lots of need for that here.
My brother still lives in North La. He's a financial controller for a large corporation and will probably never leave.

Born/grew up in BTR and still enjoy a visit every once and a while, but I have no desire to move back.

Yes. Born in Big BR and still live here. Left for tour of
duty in the Air Force from '69 to '72 and came back home.

I'm close now, 10 year gap where I wasn't close.

Born and raised in New Orleans. Lived in Baton Rouge for 18 years. Retired back to New Orleans. It's great to be home.

Grew up in NE Arkansas, went to school at LSU, and got a job in SE Texas. I don't think I could have stayed in my hometown even if the option was available. It's just so isolated.

Moving near by (within 40 miles) in the near future. I have lived in large cities for awhile and I'm ready to go home.

Nope, live in NOLA. Was such an insular city before Katrina. Now everyone here seems to be from Cali/NY/FLA...it's crazy.

I agree with you. I spent a weekend in Houston recently with my lifelong friend and his wife. I could not ever live in that sea of humanity. I live in my hometown where my family has been since 1760. My kids are here and 98% of my relatives. My ancestors were some of the first settlers in the area and I will be buried here with them.

No. Moved away 3 years ago. Don't know if this will be my permanent home, but I know I will never move back to Baton Rouge

Graduated high school, went to college, then 8 years later wound up moving back to my hometown. I was surprised at how much I came to love the place as an adult.
At some point I want to try living overseas, probably in Europe, but not permanently, just for a while.
