Was John not also "Midwestern?" He had the accent and I remember he went to college in Oklahoma (which kind of plays footsie with the Midwest, I guess).

Used to absolutely love listening to them, but I stopped listening way before Walton died. Just didn't think it was funny anymore. I don't know what it's like now but I can't imagine it being too great.

Haven't listened in nearly 15 years - once they ditched the comedy and picked up a "boomers bitching about the news" format in the mid 2000's, I bailed.

Walton and Johnson sucked when on B97 in the 90's. Nothing has changed with the passing of one. Same for those that listened to the Kid Kraddick show. It just gets worse without the other personality.

Now that's a claim I've never heard made before. I can only assume they made a joke that hit a little too close to home. Was it that Dry-Cleaning-By-Louis rest area bathroom comment from April 19th, 1992? Of course it was in poor taste, but I still laughed.

Well this I gotta know...
I'd have been listening via grade school carpool (riding, not driving) at the time... Maybe that was on a day the NPR/Paul-Harvey neighbor was driving.
