Cost? No. Watching my calories but I want something "bad" anyway or we're out of town with no where to store leftovers? Absolutely.

What my wife and I liked to do when we first started dating was to break our date into 2-3 restaurants.

As opposed to going to one place and getting 2-3 courses in one place (app, entree, dessert), we’d go to one place to share an app and a drink, then to another place for one dinner, and possibly another for an entree, or go to some ice cream shop or something.

We lived in San Francisco at the time, so it’s much easier to do when you have a bunch of restaurants close even on the same block.

It’s easier with family style(Asian/Indian) when you order entree & sides of rice or noodles. More difficult with places you have to ask for an extra plate (feels weird asking).

Only fajitas. We split a plate last week and still had leftovers. I think it was $30 for steak and shrimp, so $15 a person isn’t too bad these days.

We do this as well. By the time we eat chips and salsa, splitting fajitas is plenty of food.

100%. But usually for portion control. And we are usually full when we leave.
I dont feel cheap at all, especially when cocktails at some of these places are $20 each.

not really with cost, but many times we split as after an appetizer and maybe soup/salad its the meal is too much many times.
Yep, neither of us can eat an entire meal by ourselves. FYI We usually do one per week and cost has gone from $30 2 years ago to $50 including tip now.

Not to save costs, but if we go to a place that serves larger portions and we’re gonna get the same thing we do on occasion, but not often

Yeah El Paso, Youngsville had a fajitas for two that comes with chorizo sausage isn’t available with the single portion, so whenever she is in the mood for fajitas we do that.

No, but I'll split with my son sometimes. Frick paying $10 for a kids meal that my 5 year old will eat 1/4 of.

My fat arse does this with McDonald's for two of the kids(teen girls). I'll order a 10pc nugget meal, a cheese burger and another drink for the other kid. Cost's about $11 with the Mcdonalds App.

And I'll end up with half a cheese burger and 3-4 nuggets to eat.

We go to Vincent's Clam Bar. The sauce is the world's best and portions will last us 3 days.
