I desperately want to hear someone say this in public! I never have! I hear everything around me, but have yet to hear this word. I have been to New Iberia, Chalmette, and Shreveport recently, for Pete's sake!!!! I want to hear someone say it...

Some of my dad's friends in the K. of C. used to use it, or people they knew. I have heard it, but not as much around Greater New Orleans or by even coonasses down here. I use it talking to my sons.

My wife even says “baw”. She pronounces is like “baa” and it makes me cringe every time but she still tries to say it in everyday convo. That has to count.
