Wait, you pay less because they are living with you?

I paid my Mexican nanny 375 a week for my infants

Yeah, we looked at Au Pairs, but our house just isn't set up well enough for strangers to be living with you. I don't have that MIL suite yet.

IRS says nannies are employees and not independent contractors unless something has changed. I'm not a tax professional, so I could be wrong.

I am so disappointed in the OT this morning. How can no one ask for pics of the nanny?

Pics then I'll give advice.

List is narrowed down to two, but we do have one more interview tonight. We are also still waiting on my wife's contract before we can fully offer a nanny. Probably won't show pics then either, tho.

What are you good for then? You could be living every barely 18 porn in real life and bragging about it on the OT like a plant baw with his truck nuts!

Do you have to account for cost of room&board as trade in cases where the situation is mutually beneficial?

In theory, yes. They were significantly cheaper. If I recall correctly, cost was only around $18k -$20k a year.

This is the route I wanted to go as well. Situation changed and didnt, but having a live in for trade was really tempting idea.

Similar to you the house would have needed renovations to make it truly accommodating.

Yeah, if we were somewhere that had a basement or a back MIL house, I would absolutely go this route.

I did not know this. What's the reasoning behind that? I 10-99 all sorts of people, just never caretakers.
