Kid I knew in HS. Can't say it was much of a surprise. He came out as gay in college and was engaged in some pretty risky stuff, so I heard.

No sympathy at all. All the things he put my parents through and the money they spent on rehabs for his dumb arse. Life is what you make of it if you chose to be a crack head then prepared to be treated like one.

This seems a bit silly. If I have a sinus infection and need a z pack I have no qualms with going to the clinic and getting an NP to write me a script. I am happy that these conveniences are now available.

It's a sad situation. His family pretty much ostracized and disowned him. Last I heard he's living with his African American boyfriend. Not sure if that's where he got it. Wasn't at Christmas this year.

Yeah pretty much. Every time I see someone die from a overdose and everyone saying "oh that's so sad" I get pissed because they chose that lifestyle and they took it too far. It's not sad it's the law of averages no sympathy. God granted us free will you chose to live a life of dependency so deal with the consequences.

I'm an adoptive father, birth mom had Hep C and had to wait 18 months for my daughter to be checked. So scary, yet so relieved when she was negative. The transferal rate is like 5 percent but still frightening.

And Jesus taught us to have compassion/sympathy and empathy for those like your younger brother. Yes, he made a mistake and he has to live with it, but his mistake/burden doesn't excuse your obligation to him as your older brother.
