yes- both are women who have physically abused their husbands

I really don't get it. I at least somewhat understand a woman being cowed by a man's physicality, and being afraid of leaving - but the moment a woman would try to lay hands on me, I'd laugh in her face and get the frick out. I guess it's different if you have kids.

I'd guess that is much higher but men don't want to admit it, or don't feel comfortable doing so. Most men aren't gonna hit a women and there are women that know that and will hit their S/O.

I had a girlfriend in college who punched me in the mouth when she was drunk as hard as she could. Completely blindsided me and busted my lip. I looked at her and said "You hit like a bitch too" which really got her fuming

Broke up with her the next day.

I beat the shite out of my girlfriend whenever she undercooks my eggs.

I told her that I'm tired of sloppy, slimey eggs. No other way to reach her.

I thought you put a knife to her throat.

They weren’t married at the time, but I had a friend couple that were super toxic. There were times when they were drinking that she would literally try and beat the sh*t out of him and he’d just put his arms up to soften the blows and not say anything. And I’m talking violent, screaming banshee of closed fists and nails. It was honestly terrifying to watch. At one point it happened in the car on the way to pick up more beer, and I was sitting in the back seat. Needless to say, I yelled to stop the car and walked back to the house.

We never said anything to the boyfriend, but should have. It was just such a bizarre and frightening thing to witness.

Chances she was abused in her life at some point are probably pretty high.

I'm not Jesco. I just admire his convictions.

What do all abused women have in common?

They don't listen.

My wife's ex never laid a hand on here but he would throw things, punch holes in the wall, etc., putting her in fear of her safety.

Me too. That's why I have two barrels fermenting in my workshop.

Dahmer's Lye Rye is going to be a hit.

Yeh I had some acquaintances that were a couple in college as well where shite would get pretty crazy in public with them. It's certainly not a good sign. Like the post above the guy would just totally go into blocking and get away mode, but the girl knew that he wasn't going to hit her and would go bananas. I hope both of them are ok and not currently dating or around each other lol and God forbid not married.

I dated a girl who always talked about how her ex emotionally abused her. Met the ex years later (cool guy) and he said he had asked her if she was gonna stop eating or keep buying bigger clothes.
