It really is a mental illness and people need to look at it and acknowledge it as so. I mean if someone wants to mutilate their genitals, we need to send gen to a psych doctor, not applaud them for being 'bold' or 'strong', that is completely backwards. I don't dislike or hate these people at all, I think we should have compassion for our fellow Americans, but we need to call it like it is. We aren't doing them any justice by being accepting in a way that we turn a blind eye to their mental problems. It would be like cheering on someone that is anorexic. fricking shite is whack.

Also look at the suicide rates for trans folks. It's pretty obvious it's a mental illness.



And just to add, they have showed that giving in or championing transgenders into going with a sex change doesn't lower the suicide rate at all. So obviously cutting off their junk isn't making them any happier, it isn't fixing the mental illness they possess.
