I don't really buy that. I don't think there is really THAT much bullying in grown adults. It's much more that said person is struggling internally with the mental illness and not knowing what damn gender they are.

I'd go as far as saying that trangenders are more coddled these days by society than picked on. It's like people champion and celebrate the fact they have a mental illness instead of pointing it out and saying they need real help, not told they are strong and bold.
