Twin beds next to each other.
We both move in ways that disrupts the other sleep.
Beds are literally like 5 inches apart.

Plan to when my last one leaves, his room has the larger walk-in closet.
She’s not giving it up and has no plans to give it up so sleeping in the same bed/room is pointless.

Lady I work with and I had this conversation not long ago. She told me her and her hubby started sleeping in separate bedrooms as soon as their last child left for college. Said the sleep was amazing. Said hubby visits her about 3 times a month to tap that. lol. Then he goes back to his own room.

We have for several years. My wife has rheumatoid arthritis, and it's easier for her because she uses a lot of pillows and props from various surgeries. We're happier and better rested. Plus, she's too messy. shite is everywhere in her room.

I know and have known thousands of married couples in my relatively long life.
I have never felt the urge to inquire as to their sleeping habits,Weird if you ask me,to concern one’s self with other people’s sleeping arrangements.
Only one’s I knew of were grandparents, one set had seperate bedrooms the other set didn’t.

Always sleep in the same, except for 1 noght after she had radiation. Was supposed to be 2 nights, but time with her was too precious. Plus, my liver is seemingly bulletproof.
To each his own...

I posted above, but my wife and I have slept in separate beds for 5 years now. We are expecting a child next year.
Sleeping is a solo endeavor. Even with someone else, you're on your own in the ether. Choosing to do that in a way that maximizes the rest of your life is no indicator of how close you are with your spouse.

Plus each room is set up for the individual person. My husband keeps his guitars on stands and whatever and it is not in my way. I keep all of my pillows, props, braces and whatever medical needs out of his way. And I can have girly bedding and artwork and he has masculine.
