I have 11 half siblings, with the potential for like 6 more if they ever take a genetic test

I have 1 brother with the same parents I have, 3 siblings with mom and her second husband, 1 sibling with dad and his second wife. We NEVER say the word “half”. We are 6 brothers and sisters and all best friends, even the sister who isn’t related to the 3 others. Confused ?

That's one reason I won't do a DNA profile.
A friend of mine found out she had a half sister she didn't know about.

Wait, what ? you couldn't pick any of your half sisters out in a line up, but you could identify one of their kids ? How do you know she wasn't just some ugly amazon who happens to resemble you ?

We were taking pregnancy pictures, she was taking graduation pictures.

Whenever I actually saw her face, I knew that we had to be related.

Commented that she looked wonderful just to strike up a conversation

Is not an adopted sibling a brother/sister. Sure they may not be biological but family is more about relationship then DNA….

Yep. My brother and sister are “half-siblings”, but I’ve never considered them anything else than my brother and sister. We all share the same mother. They haven’t had anything to do with their biological father for as long as I’ve been alive and consider my father their “father”. Most of the time I forget they are technically my “half” siblings.

I have a half-sister on my mum's side. She's 15 years younger than me. She's my baby sis and I've never thought of her any different than that.

Blood is blood.

I have 2 siblings, both younger sisters (one full, one half, same mom), 2 stepbrothers (1 older/1 younger) and an older stepsister.

The younger stepbrother is the half-brother to my half-sister and he is getting married on Easter Saturday.

I am my Daddy’s only child and have a little brother and sister from my mom.

They have the same mom and dad but I have never called them my half sis or bro. They also see me as their sister. I don’t think I’ve ever thought of them as a half sibling.

I'm Hispanic on my father's side. He had a daughter before he met my mom. I've never met her. She still lives in her birth country. She never wanted to come to the states with my dad.

Being the younger one, to me they were my brother and sister. I think it was when I was a few years old when their dad decided he wanted to be part of their life. As for as they were concerned, my dad was their dad, but I think the only reason I knew early on that they were my half siblings is because their dad wanted to become involved in their life.

My daddy is still in my life and when my mom remarried and had kids, I considered them my siblings. I never thought of them as half even though they had a different daddy.
