And it takes zero seconds to put a paper plate in the dishwasher
but the trash has to go out eventually and more often because of the bulk of paper plates & plastic utensils

at our house we cook everything in one pot, with one spoon, when it's done everyone gets in line and eats out of the pot, using the same spoon, whoever eats the last spoonful has to wash the pot and the spoon

Only the kids that wash the dishes get to eat. So I have a lot of help.

It takes a second to put in trash

Not much longer to put in dishwasher

It takes me less than 5 minutes to empty dishwasher, train your lazy kids to do it.

Its laziness, nothing more. You want to get back to staring at your phone and TV ASAP

Im not a big environmentalist but our dependance on single use throw away shite bothers me and I try to avoid it.

You have 6 dishwashers, plus yourself.

If you pickup takeaway from outback or longhorn do you take it out of the plastic tray and plate it too?
Yes, I do. I eat off a real plate about 90% of the time. My kids will grab a paper plate. I dont see a big deal with rinsing a plate off and loading the dishwasher. I am running the dishwasher every night even if not full, empty sink, scrub sinks, wipe counters and run the dishwasher is our way. Kids do it every other night. I have plenty of paper plates laying around and will use em if grilling burgers or having a quick bagel of something for breakfast.

Wasting water in the dishwasher? Our dishwasher uses about 2 gallons of water per cycle. Is that a real big waste of water to you? 2 whole gallons to wash all the dishes?

I bet the people in California wish they had that water

Water is a finite resource that we can’t make more of and when you put ketchup and Dino nugget residue in it you make it undrinkable

Haha

For the paper plate crowd, are the generic Ozempics just as good as the real deal?

The microplastics are in the water and nobody washes paper plates

not really - where do you store them before they are used?

My pantry is full

I usually keep my pantry door closed

I dont have a door on top of my sink, when I stack ceramic dishes. And if we have a big meal sometimes they get left in the sink before the first wash cycle completes

Goddamn hahahaha

If I'm grabbing a quick bite, then off to work, I cn just toss the plate. Not wash, or stack it.

And I know those WFH fanatics dont leave the dishes in the sink when they should be at their work station. They starting a load, while I'm on hold waiting for those bitches to actually work from home

Damn I didn't realize the OT is full of people putting their Pop-Tarts and Vienna sausages on paper plates. I see why the BMI threads get people so riled up now

What do you do with your pot, pan, cutting board, and cooking utensils when you finish eating?

Presumably, you wash them/rinse them and stick them in the washer. So.. how is using paper saving you any sort of significant amount time?
