I think I camped in a tent one time when I was younger. Someone flipped a 4-wheeler when we went camping, which somewhat ended the camping trip.

Overall, I slept horribly in the tent. I don’t see the appeal.

In call of duty, sometimes. IRL, not since I was a kid.

I’m a cold weather camper. So when I lived in Colorado I did it all the time. It doesn’t have the same appeal in Louisiana as it does there , especially when it came after a 5/6 hour hike into the woods .

I used to all the time. It has lost its appeal the older I get.

I enjoy outdoors stuff, long day hikes, etc

But at end of day i want a hot shower and comfy bed. Not a miserable tent.

Sleep was awful but it’s fun waking up in nature. I prefer sleeping in a camper.

Hammocks have been a game changer for me. I can throw a sleep mask on and sleep like a baby all night. Tents are some rough sleeping.

I love being in the woods, but rarely sleep well in a tent.
I've done a tiny bit of backpack camping, a little canoe camping, and some vehicle camping. Used to bring a blow up mattress, but now use a little cot.

It sucks that there are so little good places to camp within a five hour drive from here.

The appeal of camping is getting to places that wouldn't be accessible any other way. I never saw the appeal of driving somewhere and setting up camp. You quickly get used to being dirty and sleeping on the ground. After a month long backpacking trip I had trouble falling asleep in a bed the first night.

I enjoy camping in a camper...but I am not interested in camping in a tent. The only way I gen any sleep at all in a tent is to get slobbering drunk...and I am too damn old for that shite.

Maybe it would be fun if I had the proper equipment. It’s an idea I don’t hear much about. I guess it might be fun.

I don’t camp nearly as much as I should for living in California. Maybe once a year to somewhere like yosemite or Big Sur..Kind of a shame really, as I always enjoy it, but ultimately it’s a lot of effort and I like hot showers too much

I really dig the idea of what they are calling glamping now. At least I think that's the term.
Get to be outside, but still have a comfortable place to sleep.

Maybe to introduce your wife who's ambivalent about the whole sleeping outdoors thing. It's not a very manly concept.

Opposite of most people I know. You would think with active lifestyle and work that you’d want to unwind and disconnect within nature.

One time...I had a GF that loved to camp..We went to the Smokies and stayed in a KOA. Set up the tent and I checked out the bathroom/showers. Freakin military style toilets. So I figured I would go in early to take a dump. I went in at 4AM.. no one in their and as soon as I started to pinch a horde of people came in to the area. I don't know if it was the fresh air but it was the biggest loaf I had ever pinched. I was just praying that it would flush and it did. It was a good time after that..

Yep, we go camping quite a bit during the summer. It's Colorado so there are plenty of great spot to camp and hike.
