So how are you split on the issue? You sound like a piece of shite. You completely disregard father's that actually want their children like it is some minority outcome. frick you completely. I am a father in a truly 50/50 situation, and I thank God I was smart enough to, either convince, or to have relationship with a woman that was smart enough to realize what's fair. I make more than her yes, but as far as child expenses go....say our income is 85/15 out of the total....I pay 85 percent of everything and she pays 15. If either of us deem that we want something beyond what is required for basic necessities, we either just pay it ourselves or we talk about it if it's something that truely matters. It's a wierd thing to say, but I could not have had a better ex. And again one last time, frick you for dismissing the men's perspective.

I'll feed the troll on this.

So yes, let's create a policy based on your awesome experience with child custody and support. Your case probably falls within 5% of the total custody cases. I'm happy you were able to work it out with your ex. Let's act like every set of parents are able to cooperate, just like me. fricking idiot. To act like there aren't fathers out there who only give a shite about how much they're paying their baby momma is idiotic.

There are fathers who pay their support and never see their kids, and there are fathers who never pay a dime and are there for everything the child does. Support and custody are two completely separate issues.

And congratulations that your baby momma isn't vindictive enough to put you through the ringer for the next few years. I'm legitimately happy for you. What you don't realize is how many parents do NOT get a long, and how many fathers are unable to exercise visitation 50% of the time, and plethora of cases where, without child support, the mother and child would no doubt be starving.

Often times, the child support is only enough to pay for daycare so the mother can work. What happens if baby daddy doesn't want to pay support? Mom gets to work to pay daycare and live in section 8 housing on foodstamps, that's what. frick you, for lashing out on something you have no idea about.

Do I think that a father should be paying $2000 per month in support? Not at all. I don't think a person should be rewarded just for having a baby with someone who makes a lot of money. Do I think he should pay something to balance out the expenses of having the child 80%+ of the time? Absolutely.

BTW I've helped many of fathers get child support from the mother. It goes both ways. This thread is not about that it's about mothers receiving child support.

And as far as the presumption that the mother is the most fit to care for the children, that's bullshite. The courts will typically look at the history of the parties' relationship and typically the mother is the main caregiver for the child and the father is the breadwinner, and often times the sole breadwinner. The court isn't going to disrupt that dynamic and place the child with a father who works 12 hours a day, when the mother is sitting at home from her minimum wage job. This holds up the same if the genders were reversed.

frick, dude. You don't realize how great of a situation you're in. Be thankful for it, because she could bring you back to court any minute, and you'd be wearing a shirt like the guy in the OP.
