I bet the government employs more.
I don’t think you’re considered a government employee just for taking government benefit.

Largest that are headquartered here, yes.
Centerpoint Energy is headquartered in Houston

Going by what the article said

Again, prior to reading this list I thought O&G would dominate employment in terms of hires followed by healthcare.
I had no idea the state hires that many people. Post secondary education also holds a large portion of the jobs.

Kinder Morgan’s HQ is in LA? That’s news.

Poolcorp in Covington is the 3rd or so largest Louisiana based company based on revenue. Not sure what their employee count is, but I'm sure it's high.

Located on Louisiana Street.
Maybe the websites search feature became confused.

5 weeks there in 2005. God sometimes I drive by that Building at Sherwood@I-12 and I get that shutter of how fricking MISERABLE that place was. So lucky the other offer I passed on was still up for grabs. Jumped ship within 1.5 weeks of telling the Amedisys Boss I resign effective immediately.

Let's get real, a lot of these people just show up with clean clothes on and they get paid. They don't do anything.

CB&I had close to 15,000 employees in the state at one point last year. Then they lost contracts and made that merger with McDermott

They'd move to Denver and highly doubtful it happens.
With the new CEO based in Broomfield and the fact that no one wants to move to Monroe, including him, yeah, it'll be shut down within 2 years, imo. The Broomfield campus is gorgeous, in an area with a very talented pool of residents with plenty of others willing to move there to work.

100% not going to happen on that time line. If they do move it will be in quite a few years when they are able to pretty much clean house entirely, including shareholders. The majority of the board is still going to be the Monroe crowd.
IMO, what they are going to do is hold a potential move over the states head and rake them over the coals on incentives. That's what I'd do anyways, and the jew CEO seems like he would want to do that to either a.) get really good incentives or b.) use it as an excuse to move if the state doesn't cave.
