Do y’all think that the mail carriers will shut down?

Getting some trees to plant the next few weeks and wondering if I should move up my order before the government might shut down non essential mail orders.

We are moving to pigeon delivery

They should just move to two days a week like they should have done 20 years ago.

"Come rain, come snow, come coronapocalypse."
It is right there in their motto. The show must go on.

A mail order tree?
Has been a thing since there was mail.

Yep they are specific kind of pawpaw and pecan trees, can’t just find these at Lowe’s. Afraid of losing a planting year if they can’t be shipped.

I started to order a case of MREs, but didn't thinking as soon as I did shippers would shut down.

Other than package delivery the post office should have been shut down a long time ago. I don't need the junk mail.

Hope not, I ordered a shiba imu from Japan and expecting it to be in this week

What part of the country are you in?
Posted on 3/15/20 at 1:44 pm to GeneralLee
If the mail stops then the country is a sham. And the people should revolt and kill everyone wearing a suit.

The world is about to end and you worried about mail ordered trees?
Posted on 3/15/20 at 2:28 pm to GeneralLee
Don't they already irradiate most mail, thanks to the anthrax in 2001?

My wife delivers mail and she works outside 6 outta the 8 hours. Only around a few workers while casing mail. She won't catch the corona outside.

The only issue would be with sorting/distribution centers. Deliver drivers would have minimal exposure because they just take a loaded truck and drive around town not really coming into contact with many people. I'm sure deliveries would be slower but I wouldn't expect them to be suspended.
