Let's talk about some family values.

Yes
Being drunk is an explanation, not an excuse

It does on TD because it helps get you banned

What % of banning do you think are from the poster being drunk when they commit said banable offense?

Inner demons who you typically have control of take over. Those that do this or have done, should get a pass initially. After they realize this happens, no more free rides as now they know better but choose not to give a damn.

I've always believed that drinking causes you to say what you really think. I know because when I'm drunk I tend to be way more honest

I put my arse on the buds broiler window one night. Would have never done that sober. Ruined a lot of people's meal that night

So what y'all are saying is that when you are sober you aren't honest? You just go around lying all the time?

Drunk texting is worse. Then it's on record. Think I've mother fricked a few people back in my drinking days.

Drinking makes one irrational. Sometimes what they say is how they feel and other times what they say is just meant to hurt and win the confrontation by any means available. It gives no real reliable window into what a person thinks.

Agreed. It doesn't. If someone is actively hiding a specific secret then you might get the person to slip up and admit to something that they shouldn't. That doesn't mean that you are getting any meaningful and coherent opinions about anything, especially if it is something associated with emotion.

I'm the opposite. When I get deep into the bourbon I start bullshitting and telling lie after lie. It's easier to keep a straight face when I'm numb, so I guess it might come across as honesty.

I habe been banned twice (last one six years ago what what)
Both were alcohol induced- although the first one I still say was b.s.
So on my sample size, 100% of bans are from drunkness

If you deliberately put yourself in a situation where you do things you regret then you MUST accept full responsibility for whatever happens.
Otherwise, people use alcohol/drugs and say they are not responsible for whomever they hurt/killed.

CJK5H and he's still free, so I guess things you do when drunk don't count?
Posted on 1/5/16 at 6:56 am to rebeloke
You can't take back what you say.imho....
A lot of things you'd just say "frick it.that doesn't matter."There's a few things that might cut so hard you can't let go.
