Specifically the new grand Cherokee. Has anyone heard of someone having major issues after less than 100k miles?

Had 2 Grand Cherokee, had problems with the transmissions with both, plus all kinds of other minor issues.

Won't buy another Jeep as my main vechile ever again.

Yes, plenty of people have, but they've also had lots of success and happy customers.

Jeep has had huge issues with their 9-speed automatic transmission. I would avoid that if possible, but they may even have that figured out by now as they keep using it in their newer vehicles.

yes.

my neighbor 3 houses down. she's got the new fancy push button start one and i've carried her home from the dealer 3x in the year she's owned it while they frick around with it.

she's also 80 and drives 5mph so you can't blame it on that.

We've owned 3 over the years, never had any mechanical issues but a lot of radio knobs or stuff like that falling off. We have 2012 grand Cherokee and so far so good (knock on wood).

Yeah this is my 1st Cherokee and probably last. Like I said no major issues but the a/c stops working on one side or the other like once a year. already had that serviced 3 times. And it also feels like maybe my transmission is slipping but it also could just be in my head

If they are made by Chrysler, then they are shite. It is beyond me why people still buy that junk!

My parents have a 2013 model. No issues that I know of. It's a very nice vehicle.

Grand Cherokee, Ram, and Wrangler are probably the only vehicles made by FCA that I'd consider buying. It's their core competency and they do it well.

Not at all. Like I said, this is our 3rd jeep and never had any mechanical issues at all, just cosmetic type stuff.

There is literally not a single brand out there that the above isn't applied to in one way or another.

My 2006 Grand Cherokee is plenty over 100k miles and I haven't had any problems with it other than the starter needing to be replaced.

Just bought a 2016 Jeep Compass Sport SE two months ago
Happy with it so far
Previous car was a 2008 Dodge Charger RX (another Chrysler product)
6 years with the Charger and it has never been in the shop.. over 100K miles
