I've been to other areas of the country where people have money but you'd never know it by looking at their vehicles. It seems people here may put more emphasis on their vehicles. Agree?

Safe vehicles are necessary. Have you seen how these people drive here?

The wealthiest people I know in La do not drive flashy, expensive cars. They’re all pretty down to earth people. They also got wealthy by being wise with their money — not blowing it on things that depreciate like cars.

Gas prices here are lower in other parts of the country so there are more bawmobiles and less prius around

I might get a new or used truck next year if things calm down, otherwise I’ll sport my 11 year old paid off used suv. I’m 41 and have have never had a brand new car and I’m not OT rich but do pretty good

Truly wealthy people don’t give a shite about depreciating vehicles. They wipe their asses with car notes.

I don't know about all of South Louisiana, but when I drive through the hood in Baton Rouge near LSU (trying to avoid traffic and not doing hoodrat shite), I have noticed that many residents of those neighborhoods seem to have cars that might actually be worth more than their run-down houses.

Everyone up north drives a Subaru for the all wheel drive in the snow

Those people in the hood get put together by dealerships. They’re financed at 18-22% or higher just so they can be seen in a new Camaro or used Escalade with over 100K in mileage.

Definitely true if you go up Plank toward Clinton.

In the midwest and pacific Northwest a lot more emphsis is placed on having a vehicle that will keep you alive in the winter.
