Like I said, maybe I’m out of the loop.

The reason I think it’s weird is it’s a dude probably 30 years removed from college and is spending his time at rush events and fraternity parties. Almost strikes me as similar to a loan shark. Just taking advantage of insecure kids.

But I could be totally wrong. And that’s why I started this thread.

I follow the guy from bama.. it’s hilarious and cringy but I’ll say that he’s right about the importance of navigating the process early.

I feel like hiring a consultant would be the quickest way to assure that you don't get a bid

No problem with a Fraternity "consultant". My problem is with a person who would pay said consultant.

So you now have to pay a guy to pick what group of friends you’re going to pay for when you get to school?

Makes perfect sense.

I’m slightly kidding about the paid group of friends.

Fair enough, that’s why I asked.

He isn’t from Alabama and has no connection to the school, figured someone here may have some good advice.

Sounds gross. If the kid isn't already a douchebag, he will be soon enough.

"Parents Hire $4,000 Sorority Consultants to Help Daughters Dress and Impress During Rush"

Some sororities are tougher to get into than the schools themselves.

WSJ

Edit: never heard of fraternity consultants.

Dorm room decorators and fraternity consultants, but I’m supposed to believe people can’t afford eggs and milk?

If my son actually asked me for some bull shite like this I'd kick him in the nuts and make him sleep on the porch.

Not surprising this has become a thing.

A generation raised on phones with lawn mower parents and here we are. Most of these kids from Gen Z have zero social skills.

Sounds like a money racket.

Wouldn't just be easier and cheaper to by the liquor and beer like old times. And maybe some fake panties as though you did a panty raid?
