Remember Greenway Billiards off Greenwell Springs? Lots of hustling went on there. I had a friend that would make $100’s per night in the 90’s. Me? I sucked and just sat back and played with friends.

Mild annoyance with any pool scene on TV. They always end with the hero running out on 5 consecutive trick shots, instead of doing the right thing and just playing position. Pool is supposed to look “easy” to the untrained eye.

Buffalo Billiards

Everytime I go, there is one guy I swear must get his mail there. Always cash on a side table. Same guy everytime, I think he must live there.

In between some incoherent rants, James Leone’s Facebook page will have some interesting pool gambling stories with stacks of cash on the line.

Buff's is definitely the place to go for a high stakes money game in Louisiana. The pros come through there quite often looking for a good game. Lots of fantastic players in there.

By the time the 90’s rolled around, most of the real action had disappeared. Same guys had been there for 20 years or so, everybody pretty much knew who could play and who couldn’t. Sure, there would be an occasional match between two guys when one would give a big spot to the other, but the days of going in and playing some random guy for 10-20 dollars a game were over.

No, this is in the Augusta Ga area, mainly the south side

Do you know where he goes specifically? I don't know what the "serious" pool halls are in Augusta but last time I went out to play there was Rack and Grill

For me just recreationally at friends houses anymore. Got a brand new McDermott as a gift probably 20 years ago and it still hasn't had chalk on it. Meucci has long been sold.

I know he used to play at the one on the south side (Hwy 56) a few years back and probably still does

I used to play at the one right off of Washington road years ago but I ain't no hustler, my game was average at best
