Having one right now. It's so hot, I couldn't bear to drink a hot liquid.

I only like my coffee hot. There is a perfect temp when I guzzle it

I'm up north, but I pretty much only drink iced coffee. Even in winter.

I'm up north as well. Drinking an iced coffee now. No sugar, just a little milk.
But come winter time, screw that. Nothing's better than an iced coffee in the summer, except for a hot cup of coffee in the winter.

You let it "brew" with plunger at the top for whatever time you want. I put a bit of pressure on mine to push grounds below water surface. You then plunge it and pour into another container. I let mine brew in the fridge.

Yes, there is nothing wrong with a good iced coffee. However, I tend to prefer hot coffee that scolds my face off even in the summer.

This is how I do it too.

Ah, gotcha. Didn't know if there was a short cut method using the french press. I usually make it by the gallon so it would take a lot of french presses.

We brew our own iced coffee at home. It comes out as a concentrate that we mix into a pitcher. If drinking that makes me a hipster, then so be it. It's hot as frick outside.
Am I missing the sarcasm meter?

How long do you let it steep?

Yeah, usually just fix a normal cup and let it cool for a little bit then pour it over ice. I really like CC's caramel iced coffee.

We use the Toddy. 1 pound of coffee, either 8 or 9 cups of water, let it sit overnight, and drain into the carafe the next morning.

Try cold brewed when you get a chance. You'll notice a difference (in a good way).
