Do pain meds ever cause any of you to itch?

I got prescribed some and I'm itching like crazy. It's fricking terrible.

Yes. They do for some people. Especially hydrocodone and oxycodone.

They made me itch. It's worse if you take more than prescribed.

Take some Benadryl(sp).
If it's unbearable you could be allergic.

Itching and constipation are the most common side effects. Obviously they get worse with the more you take. Nobody wants to be scratching their shins on the toilet while trying to pass a cinder block after surgery. Take some Miralax as a precautionary measure. It won't cause a blow out and helps move things right along.

I took a double does of aspirin once and it made me itch like crazy. I think I might be allergic.
