When I use to be a HSE Data Analyst on a project, I had to keep track of all kind of shite, one being "events" which included anything that happened in the field or with company equipment and it never failed, during a full moon there was always more accidents, etc.

That's when I learned that when there is a full moon, there is a slight increase in gravitational pull, which has a slight impact on humans and our hormones which can make us a little more aggressive.

In fact, I think that's where the whole werewolf thing came from.. A full moon and this person suddenly grows more hair, nails.. Becomes aggressive.. Things that hormones have an impact on..

What do yall say about this?

Have you ever heard of the word "lunatic" and thought it sounded quite a bit like "lunar"? Did you think there may be reason for this?

Unofficial, non-scientific answer:
Many moons ago - pun intended - my brother worked in the ER at Big Charity in N.O. He swore that activity in the ER increased during a full moon. If the full moon also coincided with a weekend in the beginning of the month (back when gubmint checks were delivered by mail), it was a virtual guarantee of a crazy night in the ER.
