I got a camera ticket in NOLA a few years ago. I changed my license plate instead of paying. Frick them and their thievery

Nope.
There’s no legal means of them enforcing it. Worst comes to worst they try and put a ding on your credit report but you can dispute it.

It’s a shame you had to do that.. i actually got one of those license plate covers for my car a couple years back; they are supposed to blur the numbers on your plate so the camera cant read them.. it was somewhat effective— i went from getting 10 or 12 photo camera tickets the year before, to only getting 2 or 3 in the year or so after i got it.. i guess in some situations the cameras can still pick it up.. ultimately, my solution was to just leave the state, ha.

They can’t impact your credit, right?

Holy shite, man. Give us a heads up before getting on the road so we know to stay the frick off the roads. You sound like a shitty arse driver.

Nope. I’ve gotten several. Years ago. Credit wasn’t touched and I’m not in jail.

Nope.. see, not only is the photo camera scam a racket for the city, but they have gullible frickers like yourself thinking that they issue legit tickets.
Out of the roughly dozen or so tickets I received in the mail that year, i think 4 of them were for going 24 mph in a 20 mph school zone- ON A SUNDAY.. when no one is in school.. most of them were BS like that; i remember more than a couple of them that were for not stopping completely before making a right turn; problem is, there’s no human cop there to verify it.. and who has the time to go sit in City Hall for half a day to fight it?? I sure as hell don’t.. maybe your time isn’t as valuable though.

That didn’t work for that stupid lapse of insurance fine they sent out a few years ago.
Ended up costing me over 600 dollars to get the flag of my license. Goddamn shakedown. I even had proof that I already paid their stupid fine, but they wore me down with red tape

According to the OT you don’t need too. Even if you return to your car one day and find a boot on it.

You paid that? Lol
It happened to me too. Been avoiding it for about a year. Then they kept my $69 state tax refund so I went to the dmv with all the proof and they said “yea, we screwed up” problem solved. This was just last week. Gotta write a letter to get my refund back. Doubt that’ll ever happen
