Most educated germans I know do not speak fondly of Hitler, for they can see how he ultimately tore the country down with his sick perverted ways.
However, I'm sure there are a number of the neo-nazi Hitler youth that adore him for what he "stood for".

Many anti-communist Russians served in the German Army. Because of this, just being a prisoner of the Nazis as a Russian meant a trip to the Gulag.
I've met many a German with sympathies toward the Reich, more common in Bavaria, but usually they can find some other glorious time in their history to latch on to or just be completely ahistorical about life.

The germans are trying very hard to move on. They are almost complete pacifists now. They save their competitive juices for sports and business now.

It's against the law to even talk about it. I was on eBay once and saw a Nazi toy soldier advertised as "vintage German heritage man."
