Odell's Head and Shoulders commercial got me thinking. I've never known a brotha to complain about dandruff. I know they get ashy, so I guess it's possible.

I'm not sure about brothas but I've heard some horror stories about sistas and the dandruff.

They get flaky skin on their elbows and legs.
Have you ever heard the story about Charles Barkley wearing vasoline in his belly button to rub on dry spots so he didn't look crusty on tv :)

I like how sistas throw that one long pinky fingernail at their head when they get an itch. Cracks me up.

What exactly is ashy?
They get ashy/flakey if the don't moisturize because their skin gets real dry. That's what the black girls told me anyway

Their scalp is made of skin just like ours. I'm sure it dries out too on occasion.

They keep the greasy jerry curl stuff in their hair and it helps. I have seen some black women with dandruff chunks as big as those on a glazed donut that starts to crack and flake. Damn right I have!
