Never heard that story.

Bart was last seen in court in late 80's/early 90's. According to my source, who had cases against him, he looked like the nerd of the century with cheap suits and thick-rimmed glasses.

Gordon looks like if he wasn’t a personal injury attorney he would be the lead pastor of some mega church.

I saw that a couple of weeks ago. I was curious about his plans for the pool. Would be pretty legit to have an pool in the office. I assume Gordon's dad Jerry was a pretty good attorney?

the nefarious doctors utilized by the plaintiff attorneys?

I'm willing to bet defense attorneys have their own that give the opinion the attorney has already decided on as well.

There are doctors who are more conservative and would present a different opinion. In a perfect world the court would review the diagnostic studies and decide which opinion best matches the radiological and neurological test results. That is not the case as the second opinion doctor is often just a mere slight speed bump. The judges are often former plaintiff attorneys who are beholden to the plaintiff bar for their campaign funding.

You can bash insurance companies and their chosen doctors all you want but the truth is there is collusion between plaintiff attorneys and their chosen doctors on most cases. The doctors often have a fading practice and prop their income stream by serving the needs of the plaintiff bar. The diagnosis and treatment are driven by the policy limits available as much as the true extent of injury. If there are high limits the claimant will often be directed to an incompetent surgeon who will botch the surgery and make the patient worse often resulting in opioid addiction. The true beneficiaries are the lawyers and the incompetent surgeons.

It is what it is and I no longer feel quixotic about it. However, it is galling to have a plaintiff attorney become biblical over the good he is allegedly accomplishing.

People legitimately injured deserve to be compensated but manufacturing personal injury claims is wrong.
