Worked out in Knoxville.
It's a legit place to live. Esp communing from Louisiana.
Chattanooga is one town I wouldn't mind setting down forever, for ever ever.

My daughter and SIL live in west Knoxville. I really like that area. If you have questions, I'd be glad to offer my input or ask them if it's about something I haven't experienced.

Most of my immediate family still lives in Knoxville, I moved away a few years go to Chattanooga. It's a nice area, I rather Chattanooga except for schools. We blow at schools down here unless you go private or get lucky and get a lottery school. I don't want to live on top of Signal to get those schools.
Knoxville downtown has significantly improved since I moved away to Nooga. Chattanooga downtown is far better though,
Where Knoxville shines far above Chattanooga is the outskirts/burbs. The outskirts and suburbs of Knoxville are better and have nicer areas/schools than Chattanooga. Chattanooga had no planning go into it so like the only nice area with decent schools is Signal Mountain. The rest is McMansions plopped right next to ghetto trash.

I don't think it sucks. I actually really like it. This board is so big I figured there'd be at least a few posters here. The LSU alumni page is pretty terrible so I was just checking.

Chattanooga (checking in) has an ot presence. Nashville does too and they have a more active alumni page from what I understand.
