I’ve found most people that don’t like particular veggies were burned as a kid by not having them cooked properly

No way people would not eat a well prepared asparagus, roasted veggies or Brussels

Men need 38 grams of fiber per day to give the bowels a good workout so they’ll stay healthy. Denying them fiber can result in constipation, atrophying of the bowel muscles and even cancer.

Humans are omnivores, not carnivores. A balanced diet from animal and plant sources is necessary for good health.

I eat asparagus 3-4 times per week. I also eat other vegetables 2-3 times per week.

The trick with asparagus is to peel the stalk. All I really do with it is hand-rub with olive oil, salt and pepper and then pan fry for a few minutes in cast iron skillet. It's always a big hit but it's the easiest thing in the world to make

Asparagus and brussel sprouts should be outlawed.

Meet me at sonic.

You aren’t cooking them right. They’re delicious if grilled or roasted properly. I season my asparagus with Tony’s, salt and pepper, red pepper flakes and Parmesan cheese

Pairs well with a ribeye and baked potato

I’ve tried Brussels cooked every way you can imagine in some of the best restaurants in the world and cannot stomach even a bite. I’ve learned to like broccoli and spinach (when cooked well) but Brussels and greens continue to elude me.

Yeah, right. That's why the older generation that ate tons of vegetables lived to 100 yrs old. But you do you.

Some sautéed bell peppers are my favorite.

I like sliced raw red onions and bell peppers dipped in ranch. Carrots and cucumbers too. Usually make a platter for an appetizer before dinner

but I can cook you some roasted Brussel Sprouts cooked in picanha fat that would make you change your mind.

Doesn't this kinda negate the benefits of eating veggies if you're cooking it in fat?

I'm not throwing shade or anything because I'm the same way, I don't eat a ton of vegetables and no leafy greens ever. Like green beans, I love em, but I love em the way my grandmother cooked them, cooked with fatback in the pot and probably way too much salt. Same with something like carrots or cucumbers. Can't eat them plain, so the carrots are dipped in ranch and cucumbers are loaded with salt and pepper.

I'm getting older and becoming more conscious of what I'm putting in my body to keep from blowing up like so many people I see around me (and I could lose 15-20 lbs myself), but damn, if so e of that stuff isnt near inedible without the unhealthy stuff to make it taste better
