Im into some stuff. Took art classes in college. Always drew on shite as a kid and was a big fan of replicating Disney characters. I like painting as well although Im an extreme novice. Have been woodworking and woodburning for a few years and make dining and coffee tables. Have started to get into painting on wooden creations to make mosaics out of pallets. Artsy fartsy.

I started with guitar at 12, before that it was drums and piano at 10. If guitar is giving you a hard time with melody, I'd suggest building and recording a piano, or alternate instrument melody. I say piano because its very versatile. Then building your guitar around that. I guess it also depends on the guitar tone you're looking for. A lot of the time in metal or rock music, you can tell if an electric/distorted tone was originally or probably written on an acoustic guitar.

Honestly I’d rather just give someone with real skills my songs and say “here’s the lyrics and the melody. Add some chords.”
I know where my weaknesses lie. I had people that wanted to start a band in high school but reality got in the way. “Get a real job, you think being a rock star is a future?”
But I never stopped writing. I’ve got dozens if not over 100 songs written, and I’ve been told a lot of it is better than what’s playing on the radio now. But i’m too old to chase that dream and would rather live my life and raise my kids.
Would be nice to hear my songs done proper though

I mean, was he wrong? It’s a life fraught with hardship, though my life’s been fraught with hardship on this path too so who’s to say.
I had one career kill a relationship already and one in music would certainly do the same. It’s just not a life made for families

No, it's not. I dont have any children like the rest of the people and cousins that I grew up with now have. Most of the immediate family I had have now passed away.
You look forward to being busy, you look forward to doing something people enjoy. And your body of work becomes your children. And you hope that, that's not all that will be there when you're living your last moments.

I liked art, won a local fair contest at age 8, took landscape and figure drawing classes in college, at which time I also picked up my first camera. Now I "artify" photographs by use of editing tools. Some of my photos end up looking like paintings, pencil or pen and ink drawings, or even stained glass creations. So of course I have pics of my creations, but I'm at the office so not available to post. Have a good Good Friday, y'all.

Yeah I draw and write. Did a portrait of each of my kids for my MiL for Christmas recently. Been a bit of time before that. Painted something for my then fiancee now wife of her favorite flowers. Did a ton of art classes in high school. Teachers thought I'd go to art school, but instead went for creative writing and then law school. I'm also a pretty good writer. Made straight A's, if that means anything, and took masters level classes when I was a junior. Need to push more of my stuff out there, frankly. No real excuse other than laziness.

Pen, don't practice it near enough though. I thought this came out okay.
