How about if you’re dreaming and you know you’re dreaming and you can’t make yourself wake up.
That was my last lucid dream about 20 years ago. I knew how long I had been asleep, knew which way I was facing, knew everything, but couldn't wake myself up. And I was at the pearly gates and an angel was letting everyone in except me. I had to "sit right there on that bench and wait." I swore off lucid dreaming after that, almost killed me.
Oddly enough, I lucid dreamed last night and it was very good.

This really happened to me once. I was driving and drinking coffee out of a travel mug and accidentally dropped it. Somehow it rolled under the break pedal. I was approaching a stop sign thankfully no other cars there and i was stomping on it hard to try to break the mug but it was jammed. Had to just keep rolling thru the stop sign in a panic. I could barely reach my hand under there while still driving the car to dislodge it, but i pushed my seat all the way back ducked down with head under the steering wheel while driving and was able to remove it before getting to a redlight pure panic. I am extremley lucky it was pretty early in the AM and no other cars happend to be around.

the car could be going 5 miles per hour
i get that dream often too, only in mine i'm hitting the break but they dont work. same situation, idle speed and creeping toward another car or into a busy intersection.
i also get a weird one where i'm walking around with my eyes half closed and no matter how hard i try i cant open them wider. all i can see is my feet and have to walk with my head pointed to heaven to look straight, but then my head gets heavy and points back to my feet. very frustrating.

It means you don't feel like you are in control of your life

The not stopping or running in mud/slow-motion is because your brain is not receiving physical feedback from your body. Your brain is still trying to function as if you're awake, but it's not getting the signals it needs to properly calibrate and adjust.
Throwing a ball is incredibly complex. Like, how can you so easily know the exact force and angle to throw it to a person 10 yards away? Your brain is running the background calculations. It's taking input from the mass of the ball, air-resistance on your arm, the actual angle your arms is at, when to release, etc. Now, take that same scenario in a dream. Your brain thinks you're throwing a ball in real-life. It doesn't know you're asleep. It's trying to calculate the throw, but since it's not getting any of the normal feedback from your arm it normally receives, it's going to make default interpretations.
It's so frustrating. I hate it.
As for teeth falling out and/or crumbling, that's one of the most common dream tropes across humanity. I've heard it related to stress or anxiety.

I have had multiple dreams where I am driving from the backseat. Weird and not fun.
I have that one frequently too... fighting to get to the front seat to hit the brakes.
Also dreams where I'm driving and the road has a roller-coaster style loop and I have to get up to a certain speed to make sure I can get through it without falling straight down at the top. I always seem to wake up when I get to the top - not sure if I ever made it.

Similar. I used to get those dreams but in my dream I always found the brake pedal but when I pressed it my my car never stopped in time and I would always wake up at the moment of impact. My psychologist girlfriend at the time said that obviously I subconsciously felt like my life was out of control. I didn't believe her. Regardless, I haven't had that dream in several years.

My car driving in dreams is always I'm driving the car in reverse and its gaining speed and the breaks don't work or work very little. I'm always stuck trying to remember how I stopped it the last time

You should probably sleep with the emergency brake engaged.

That's my most frequent one. It used to be "unprepared for final exam", by a large margin but that's faded with the years.
The teeth one - yep.
If I dream I'm on an airplane the odds are better than 50/50 it will crash, and even if it doesn't crash the flight will be nuts (dodging mountains and flying under bridges). And my dreaming self knows that a crash or weirdness is coming.
As a kid it was a mountain lion leaping from a nearby window and killing me.
Being naked in a very odd public place, typically a class.

I use to have it all the time, several years ago. Looking back, I interpret it to mean that i felt like I had no control over my life and was stuck on a track that I had no control over. Take back control of your life
