I can’t lie, I don’t know what that is. I would say do whatever you can to fight this. Many people recover from cancer and go on to live fulfilling lives. Positive vibes sent your way brother.

Yes, a guy at my high school, but he was in a torrid love pentagon with a homely, kleptomaniac co-member of the band, a darling cheerleader who was new to the school, the star wide receiver and his bitch girlfriend. The guy with Leukoplakia tried out for football and got CTE after only one series in one game. And we lost. I was too busy squishing oranges with my biceps at lunch to pay attention to what came of him after that.

Hahahaha hahahaha ...... thank you buddy I needed to laugh man. If nobody knows Side Track is joking about that 1986 movie “Lucas” and that movie was funny as frick. The bullies at his HS called him “Leukoplakia” to troll Lucas. If you haven’t seen “Lucas” I highly recommend it because it’s funny.

Had a small chunk cut out of my tongue in Feb 2019 bc my dentist saw something they didn’t like. Whatever was in my mouth was not cancerous.

I go to the dentist every 4 mos now instead of every 6 to keep monitoring.

I dipped for just a shade under 20 years.

Well if you get it found early and treated early, hopefully you won't end up with having your jaw removed.

Really you need a biopsy if it's been there a while. If it's cancer, you'll need surgery..depending on the location(tongue, floor of your mouth, gingiva, etc) and how extensive dictates what surgery you'll need.

There are some forms of leukoplakia which show abnormal/dysplastic cells but no cancer. It can be watched closely or excised depending on the extent, but should make you want to stop using dip so you can try to prevent it from becoming cancer.

There are other things that cause white patches in the mouth. At the end of the day you need to see an ENT and go from there.

What was the appeal to you?

I knew a WW2 vet when I was in 1st grade that chewed, old man was tough as nails (hes still alive today btw), but he would have these epic chews that seemed like he had to go out of his way with.

You could tell if he had been there, as when he discarded a chew..what you were left with was half a bag on the ground. Looked like a pile of elephant shite.

Simply the oral fixation of it all Clint. All my HS football and baseball coaches dipped snuff then I joined the USMC right after HS and about 60% of the Marines in my platoon and infantry company dipped Copenhagen. Snuff also really helps you stay awake late at night when you’re on fire watch or on NCO of the day duty. Then I worked on oil drilling rigs after the Corps and about 40% of those oil rig hands dipped snuff. So you see I spent the majority of my life away from women so it really didn’t matter that I was doing it. I know that women find that to be utterly repulsive but there weren’t any around to be repulsed by it so it just didn’t matter.
