Do all lives really matter?

I would argue that your life doesn't inherently matter and that it takes effort to actually make it mean something.

Apparently some folks really suck.
If we make no effort to make a positive influence to others in our lives then why are we here?
If we lead by example we have no idea how many we positively influenced.
There are people every day that have no idea that the one good deed,whether they knew it or not,made a difference in someone's life.
And it's passed on,yet we didn't know it.
Manners is a good start.
