Well that mindset or any mindset is exactly what the PR companies and news media are paid to do.

Why would they make trying to spread a certain message as their top priority?

It's not the message, it's signalling. It will be an incredibly unpopular opinion on this board based out of deep red Louisiana, but if you look at demographic shifts currently underway, coupled with an extraordinarily unpopular president who has faced zero kickback from the GOP, essentially ceding him the party, you'll find a large majority of Americans who have turned from the mantra of "fear" espoused by the GOP and instead moved toward feelings of embracing societal changes and the power of positivism.

People want to be hopeful and happy. They don't think seeing two dudes kissing in public is going to turn their kids gay. They don't think it's appropriate to treat women like shite. They don't give a goddamn if someone stands for the national anthem. They're embracing the legalization of recreational marijuana which, more than any other policy, just SCREAMS where people's minds are at these days. They've had enough of the bullshite...it's time to stop living scared.

Corporations are embracing this movement and subtly giving folks a lil wink-wink that they're on our side in this divided environment.

does paranoia mean not being uber stupid and naive about life? Yeah, I'm sure Clinton is all good. Somebody really robbed Seth of nothing and shot him for nothing. All cops are humble and peaceloving. Yeah, lawyers really care about their clients and not money.

Why? Have you been listening to my thoughts and passing them onto the authorities? Is that it?

That I won't get as in I will not understand it?

Do you really think I am not capable of comprehending? I was trying to keep the OP simple and short because people bitch if it's not simple. With that said, if you go to the political board... There are some paranoid fricks who post there.

Don’t take it personal, but everyone in this thread basically said the same thing yet we’re still talking about it .

Yes. The job of marketing is to make you feel as insecure about your life as possible, the role of government is to make you dependent, political parties to divide, pop culture to numb the mind... if you will only follow them they'll give you something to trust.

There are few free thinkers left, most people live in a perpetual state of paranoia and insecurity, just like "they" have planned, depending on someone else to tell them how their life is supposed to be.
