Life expectancy at birth in the United States is now 76.1 years, the lowest level since 1996, according to a recent CDC report.
Provisional data showed there was a 0.9 year drop in 2021. Paired with a 1.8 year drop in 2020, the U.S. experienced the biggest two-year decline in life expectancy since 1921-1923.
Why did you intentionally leave out the two recent years that decreased? It seems as if you're being dense on purpose, because the above is literally the first two paragraphs of the article.
You went and selectively ignored all of this to share info that you manipulated, to attempt to prove a point that anyone with a brain knows is completely idiotic. I'll ask: Why?
Here's yet another source to help you out though: Harvard University Health: Why life expectancy in the US is falling

Because there was a little thing called Covid that drastically threw off the numbers in 2020 and 2021...are you dense?

Look at any small town in the south where the diet is sweet tea and fried chicken. Everyone looks awful.
More like Coke and burgers now.
Back when we all ate homemade sweet tea and fried chicken, there weren't many fat people.
BTW, depending on whose sweet tea it is, it has 2x-5x less sugar than most soft drinks.

The majority of Americans eat like complete trash and the average life expectancy for US residents continues to go up every year. Genetics play a much bigger role in your life expectancy than diet.
Are you arguing that this number goes up BECAUSE Americans eat like complete trash? Or that Americans wouldn't live even longer than this if they ate healthier?
If so, please explain. If not, then what are you even trying to say?

But the old black guy on the porch will live to be 97.

“Trump”
Trump is a freak of nature, reportedly Warren Buffett eats like shite,MacDonalds and Diet Cokes ,never exercises.94 years old and still sharp mentally. So I would say he’s in the same category as Trump.
Spend some time in the medical world and you’ll come across people like that occasionally.Eat like crap, smoke for many years, drink lots of alcohol and yet live to a ripe old age with minimal infirmities.
They are definitely not the norm
Yep, my maternal grandfather was orphaned age 13 in 1917 and left to fend for himself hoboing around hopping trains across TX, OK, AR, LA, and MS. He started smoking 2-3 packs a day as an adult and was addicted to wine (not a drunk but had to have a few sips). After he married he would send grandma back to the grocery to exchange meat if it was too lean, he loved to eat fat. He also liked biscuits and butter milk. He died at age 89 from heart attack, 6"1" about 180.

lets you scan barcodes to see what harmful additives are in your foods
Ironically, the first hint to not eat something is if it's in a box with a barcode.

As far as contributing factors to overall health, food quality is like 5th on the list.
1) genetics
2) portions
3) stress
4) movement or lack thereof
5) quality of food you eat
Does it affect your health in some way? Sure. Is it the most important factor? Not by a long shot.
