Rapper DMX to perform in Baton Rouge in November

The rapper, producer and actor was one of the best-selling artists of the late 1990s. His first five albums all debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. An eighth album is said to be in the works, featuring production from Swizz Beatz, Kanye West and Dr. Dre.

So who's going?

He'll either be cracked out or won't show up. And that's if he's not in jail for something around that time.

eeesh,

I'd pass even if I lived in BR.

I saw DMZ at Free Press Summerfest in Houston, probably 3-4 years ago. He showed up 1.5 hours late. Or should I say he came out of his tour bus behind the stage 1.5 hours late. And was so blitzed/high/fricked up the concert was awful. It maybe lasted 30 minutes and everyone left once he got thru: X Gonna Give it To Ya, Rough Ryder's Anthem, and Where the Hood At. There's no way I'd pay money to see him again.

Did a show with him at the Howlin Wolf in New Orleans a couple years ago. The performance was great. I haven’t really seen anything in the interim so I can’t say for sure, but based on my experience I’d expect the Varsity show to be a good one.
