Since no one really hazes any more when kids decide to do it they have no idea what it is or what the limits are. Most chapters have gotten rid of anyone who was ever involved in ay hazing so there are no older guys to reign it in.

The way you keep this from happening is by not letting people like them in during rush.

My experience is about a decade old now but whatever. There is no real effective way to rush any more. A lot of the summer bar tab stuff is shut down. So recruiting is just word mouth and 4 days of boring arse rush which anyone can slip by.

Combine that with the fact running any kind of party is expensive. You either have to rent a bar or pay LSU security with third party vendors. So even old row fraternities started taking 40/50 pledges instead of taking the suicides plus a handful of others.

Then you start getting more and more out of state people from all over. Which is bound to bring in a few shite heads (myself included in this portion). The phi delts of the world were almost exclusively out of state. That is makings for trouble. It’s a bunch of burb kids trying to make oldrows Instagram

You shouldn't. Overall, I had great time. I had no intention of joining a fraternity when I went to college. Now, in retrospect, I can't imagine not having been in a fraternity. I got initiated in the Fall of 1980 and I'm still friends with many of my fraternity brothers. It was a great experience for me and I made plenty of great friends.

What are their poster names?

Middle/bottom looks inbred. He probably got off on naked dudes rolling around in glass on a bb court.

Look at all those future donors to the university who now won't be because of this all out war on fraternities by F King Alexander.

Reading the allegations is so enertaining. None of this even happened.

Who would put pledges on broken glass and pee on them or beat pledges with a metal pipe.

Pledges had gasoline poured on them and were forced to submerge themselves in an ice machine wearing nothing but their underwear, according to arrest warrants released Thursday afternoon. Members of the fraternity are also accused of kicking pledges with steel toed boots, attempting to burn them with cigarettes and beating them with a metal pipe.

I mean, i was in a Fraternity in college. I never did any hazing. Had a few guys that did "haze" but the hazing equated to inviting over pledges to clean their apartment and the pledges were paid in beer. Eventually those "hazers" were found out and were kicked out.

However, i do remember one night, watching pledges leave the neighboring DKE house with bloody noses pissed off.

According to the District Attorney and police, DKE would and did.

I’m not versed in the threshold for a DA bringing charges but assume that while it’s not that high, it must still be credible.

I'm guessing most of these guys plead down or have the charges dropped. They may make an example of one or two but even those probably get probation. The real penalty, and it's a big one, will be google. This shite will follow them indefinitely.
